Hi, I’m Alyssa Wilson, owner of Alyssa Cuts & Curls, a private salon suite in McAllen, Texas. I’ve been a licensed hairstylist since 2012 and have specialized exclusively in curly and textured hair since 2016. I believe every curl tells a story, and my goal is to help you love yours. My approach goes beyond a haircut. Every appointment is designed to improve the overall health of your hair and scalp through precision dry curl cutting, personalized treatments, and curl education. Whether you’re struggling with frizz, damage, scalp concerns, hard water buildup, or simply don’t know where to start, I’ll create a customized plan that helps your curls thrive long after your appointment. I intentionally offer a private, one-on-one salon experience so you’ll never feel rushed or double-booked. During your visit, you’ll receive my full attention, honest recommendations, and the education you need to confidently care for your curls at home. I’m passionate about continuing my education and have trained with RËZO, DevaCurl Academy, Gold Studios, Malibu C Head Lab, OLAPLEX, Amika, and Leaf & Flower. I’m also continuing my education in trichology to deepen my understanding of scalp health and healthy hair growth because beautiful curls begin with a healthy foundation. Cancellation Policy
At Alyssa Cuts & Curls, each appointment is reserved exclusively for one guest at a time to ensure a private, focused, and high-quality experience. Because time is set aside specifically for you, the following policies are in place to protect both your time and the integrity of the studio schedule.
Booking Deposits
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure all appointments. Deposits may be transferred to a rescheduled appointment if changes are made within the permitted rescheduling window.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Appointments may be rescheduled up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time without penalty.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice, or failure to attend a scheduled appointment (“no-show”), will result in the full service amount being charged to the card on file.
Future bookings may be restricted until any outstanding balance is resolved.
Late Arrivals
A 15-minute grace period is provided. If arrival exceeds 15 minutes and the full service cannot be completed without impacting subsequent guests, the appointment may be canceled and the deposit forfeited.
If the service can proceed without disruption, a $50 late fee may be applied.
After-Hours Appointments
Appointments scheduled outside regular business hours are subject to a 50% extended-hours fee applied to the total service cost.
Redo Policy
Client satisfaction is important. If you are not fully satisfied, please contact the salon within 48 hours of your appointment to schedule a complimentary adjustment. Redo appointments do not constitute a refund and must be completed within a reasonable timeframe.
Agreement
By booking an appointment with Alyssa Cuts & Curls, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the policies outlined above. Booking reserves dedicated time in the studio and serves as a mutual commitment between guest and stylist.
Appointments are considered a contractual agreement for services at the scheduled time. Thank you for respecting the time, preparation, and intention that go into every appointment.
